I don’t know about you, but February is my cooking bugaboo. After January’s manic seesaw between healthy fare and warming winter comfort food, my recipe repertoire is tapped out. Instead of detonating the takeout option, I’m going to take this month to audition some new meals and treats. Here’s a few that have been catching my eye.

    The blood oranges are in their prime at my local co-op.
    Try them sliced over a bed of mixed greens, with some goat cheese, a sprinkle of sunflower nuts and currants and a splash of balsamic. Tastes positively purple.
